My trip to Algonquin Park in Ontario with my husband earlier this month was restful and rejuvenating. The park was a lush green expanse during the day and the sky glittered with stars at night. Wilderness shows us that there are life forms on earth other than us and the sky reminds us that there are countless celestial bodies spinning about in addition to ours. Check out this blog to see photos from the park.
I learned to ride a bike this spring (better late than never) and biked on the trails. When my husband and I disembarked for a break, we heard a splash and looked upon the lake to see…a moose! Pictured below, she stood in water and chewed aquatic vegetation.
Look closely at the photo below. What do you see? A chipmunk! Did you know that chipmunks have cheek pouches that allow them to store food? The cheek pouches of chipmunks can actually reach the size of their body when full. Isn’t that fascinating?
