I enjoyed speaking to a full house of students and community members at Trent University on January 27, 2016. I discussed my experiences and insights at farms, answered dozens of questions, read from Project Animal Farm, and signed copies of the book. I also enjoyed meeting Yann Martel on February 1st during his book tour of his new book, The High Mountains of Portugal.

I’ve been enjoying hearing from readers of Project Animal Farm and thought I’d share some of the recent notes:
- “I found your book by accident in our community library and it looked interesting, so I signed it out. And then I couldn’t put it down. In fact, I loved it so much I gave it to my mom and to friends I worked with…It changed my life!” – Lisa
Thank you. Really. You made everything possible!
You helped my story reach others, and you helped change hearts and minds. I will be snuggling up with a book or two over the holidays, and I hope you will as well. If you’re looking for a present for friends and family, you can find Project Animal Farm here at a discount. You can see reporter Erin Ireland snuggled with the book below!
I visited Italy this month, traveling from the grand monuments of Rome to the cobbled streets of Florence and the canals and bridges of Venice. The trip was wonderful, offering plenty of inspiration! The people were kind, the food enjoyable, and the art divine. Here are some of my favorite snapshots.
Here are some fun photos from the last days, shooting with a TV show in Canada and speaking at the Toronto Vegetarian Food Festival at Harbourfront Center.
Project Animal Farm is generating a whirlwind of rave reviews! The book has been all over the news. There’s also a series of brand-new podcasts for you to tune in to. The book launch events in New York, Boston, and Toronto were successful, and more fun events are coming up in the fall!
With Project Animal Farm being released this month, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many people who have made the book possible. I lean on too many shoulders to count and am overwhelmed with gratitude.
I spent the week of April 13 speaking in Boston and Orlando. I spoke at Northeastern University, Tufts University, Florida A&M University, and at an agricultural justice conference in Florida (the 33rd National Pesticide Forum). I discussed my investigations, detailed problems and solutions, and answered audience questions. I enjoyed connecting with audiences!
